Robin (that's me)
I am a former art teacher, current animal lover and artist of many mediums.
I am 30 something with a husband, four cats and two houses...anyone looking to buy a house in the Ferndale area?
I love color and art that says something. My day job is working as an advocate for children with rare disabilities and my hobbies are: creating, volunteering with animals, reading, shopping and going to the theater (when I can occasionally DRAG my husband). Oh, I also really like visiting Cider Mills.

OK.
I've been in Warren for two years, since the folks became unable to do for themselves. I used to be a critic in Chicago, but now, I seldom leave the house. Wrote one bit for the Metro Times, but we didn't seem to get along.
Studio MFA, but haven't made much in a long time. Last show was mostly watercolors based on internet porn. Then there were those few years of costume cabaret/ performance art/ whatever. That was pretty fun. My last "art" was for a friend who teaches at St. Francis College somewhere in Illinois. On a discussion thing kind of like this the idea came up of a show by people who had given up on showing or making. The show was called "Failure". Sent him some home-canned tomatoes and pears.
On a personal level - no wife, kids nor job. 90-yo dad, 3 cats.
"Low traffic", huh? There have been worse reasons for worse nicks, and I've had worse. As the man said - call me anything but SOB or late for dinner.
Keep up the good work, Robin.
Michael (so far).

Hi! My name is Katherine, I'm an art therapist. (Hmmm... that sounded a bit like a confessionary statement, hehehe). I'm a bit tired, bear with me. In any case, I make art with special needs children, and also with elderly nursing home residents. I'm currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology and will be starting a practicum doing art therapy at a women's center.
When I'm not toting around a cart of art materials and rather making art for myself, I like to work with mixed-media. I've been making found art compilation pieces lately. I also like to paint and work with clay. Sometimes I make jewelry. I suppose it's whatever mood or idea strikes me, I just really like to make stuff.
Otherwise, I'm getting married at the end of August, so I've been making things for that. This weekend I had a shower and made soap for the first time as thank you gifts. It was pretty fun, so I'm thinking about different scents of soap to make as future gifts.
I guess that's about all I have for now. I'd better go look read a bit for class tomorrow. ![]()

I'm Danielle. I work at Chrysler in their Archives. I am working on their digital library of photographs and documents. So, basically I scan photographs and documents, clean them up and save them where need be. Sounds easy, but try to identify cars when you are not a car person
Lets just say I have learned a lot!
I graduated from Madonna University with a BA. My mediums include Photography and Lithography. I also love water color and sculpture.
I have lived in Royal Oak now for 1 1/2 years. I am engaged to be married in December and have 2 dogs (Fatty and Ox) and 2 cats (Dora and DJ).
So that is me in a nutshell ![]()

This is a fun forum!
My name is Megan and I just moved to Perrysburg, OH (a suburb of Toledo) with my boyfriend Jason. I'm 25 years old and I have 2 cats. My job is working in a group home for people with severe mental illnesses and I also go to school at Bowling Green State University.
Creating art is something very special to me. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. (It's where you have the symptoms of both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.) I started creating art in recovery to show the world what it's like to live with this illness. I try to use my art to create awareness for mental illness. Mostly I paint with acrylics, but I also like pastels.
So that's my story....
